JKT48 (pronounced "Je.Key.Ti. Forty-eight") is an idol group from Indonesia. Formed in 2011, this group is the first AKB48 sister group that is outside Japan. [1] This group AKB48 adopted the concept of "idols you can meet every day". [2] JKT48 performing routine almost every day in the Theatre JKT48 , 4th floor mall fX Sudirman, Jakarta.

Currently JKT48 has a membership of 47 people. The group's first album, Heavy Rotation was released on February 16, 2013 by Hits Records. Their first single, "River" was released on May 11, 2013 (theatrical version) and May 17, 2013 (regular version).
